Description:
While Solyndra shut its module factory, copper-indium-gallium-diselenide (CIGS) technology market-leader Solar Frontier has started full production at its 900 MW fab, and many further start-ups are ramping to mass production as well. And while the market environment for CIGS suffers as crystalline silicon module prices continue to fall, new CIGS efficiency records provide hope for this promising thin-film technology. After PHOTON’s last thin-film conference successfully focused on CIGS, this event will once again be entirely devoted to the thin-film technology with the highest efficiencies, and will feature the leading stakeholders to discuss the status and future of CIGS.
Topics covered:
Supply and demand: An overview of CIGS thin-film production and market growth (total, geographical)
Cost: Estimates for CIGS thin-film module costs compared to other thin-film technologies and c-Si panels
Technology: The latest in CIGS R&D and production equipment
Case studies: Performance of CIGS solar systems
Investors views on CIGS thin-film manufacturing
Company presentations from the most promising global CIGS thin-film producers
A panel discussion
Cost: $840
