United Way of Santa Cruz County
Cocoanut Grove
400, Beach St

Santa Cruz,
ZIP: 95060

This is a FREE conference; parking validated and lunch included.
The purpose of this Conference is to build the capacity of a multidisciplinary system to understand and address the unique needs of young Latino and African American male survivors of violence in our community. The Conference will highlight the trauma informed work that has been taking place in Santa Cruz County and allow participants the opportunity to gain insights from experts.
This Conference will allow attendees to identify gaps in the services they provide and gain tools from experts to address said gaps to shift to a consistent trauma-informed system of care that will increase the well-being and quality of life for Latino and African American males and their families.
Subject experts within law enforcement, education, community based organizations, and healthcare will present the model of trauma informed care that they use in their practice. Each sector will have breakout session in the afternoon, where participants will be able to assess, learn and gain tangible tools that they can put into practice.
